Polinax

Founded in the early 1960s by Carlos Pablos and Leopoldo Milá, Polinax has established itself as one of the most iconic Spanish lighting brands of the latter half of the 20th century. Originally a manufacturer of motorcycle accessories, the company quickly pivoted to producing lighting designs by notable architects, including Alfonso Milá and Federico Correa, and later Miguel Milá.

The Milá name has become synonymous with the brand since its collaboration began in 1963, focusing on designs that were previously produced by Tramo, as well as new projects developed with Polinax. Among the standout creations are various versions of the Max Bill and M68 lamps.

In addition to lighting, Polinax has also been involved in the design and production of fireplaces, with the Capilla fireplace by José Antonio Coderch being the most iconic. Piece that won the ADI/FAD Delta Award in 1964. By the 1970s, Polinax expanded its product range to include furniture and urban lighting, many of which were also designed by Milá, further solidifying its reputation in the design world.
